Our 100% Price Guarantee has some limitations:
Q1: What are Gallic Acid and polymerized Polyphenol?
A: During the fermentation process, Gallic acid (polymerized polyphenol) is created. This element helps to block the absorption of fats by the body.
Q2: When, and how much tea should I drink?
A: Drinking about one liter a day is the ideal for maintaining a healthy lifestyle with our tea. Before and during meals, and before exercise are the ideal times to drink tea to get the maximum effect. Simply put, anytime you want to enjoy a delicious cup of tea is perfect!
Q3: Will I really lose weight?
A: As our tea is not a medical weight loss supplement, we cannot guarantee that everyone who drinks our tea will lose weight. However, the diuretic effect of the tea has been the source of much praise from our customers who have been helped with troublesome issues such as constipation by drinking Japanese tea every day. Drinking one liter every day, for two or three months, you will begin to notice a marked changed in your energy levels, and overall wellness.
Q4: How should I drink it?
A: You can drink our tea both hot and cold. Drinking the tea hot helps activates the body’s metabolism and promotes the body’s sense of well-being. Because we provide our tea in convenient teabags, you can enjoy a hot cup of tea at anytime, anywhere! While iced tea is also an option, the healthiest elements and components of the tea are activated by heat, so those who wish to experience the greatest effects should drink it hot.
Q5: Is the tea hard to drink? What does it taste like?
A: Other Chinese Pu-erh tea has a unique and earthy flavor, which can be too strong for the tastes of some consumers. However, our tea is domestically grown for a milder and more palatable flavor for everyone to enjoy. Please enjoy a cup today!
Q6: Why is it so expensive?
A: We use 100% wild-grown tea leaves. We process the leaves in a clean, temperature and humidity controlled room over a period of 4 days from manufacturing to processing, utilizing a safe and secure production protocol.
In addition, due to time and production limitations, our tea cannot be mass produced. We place the utmost priority on quality, and strive to deliver only the highest quality tea to our consumers. Because you can make one liter with 5g pack of our tea, and considering that a PET bottle (plastic bottle, 500ml) is only about 50 cents, we are confident you will find drinking our tea not only to be healthy, but also a worthwhile, delicious, and affordable experience.
Q7: Is it safe?
A: We understand there are concerns about bacteria and pesticides when buying imported goods. This is why at Arahata Gardens we grow our tea domestically, on-site, and submit all of our products to a rigorous, 204-point safety test, ensuring that our products are pesticide-free, delicious and safe for our customers at the time of purchase.
Q8: How can you make Chinese-style Pu-Erh tea from green tea?
A: There are four main types of tea leaf/tea plant in the world, all of these are from the plant family camellia. The main differences in flavor, appearance, and texture result from different methods of fermentation.
Q9: What type of bacteria is used for fermentation?
A: We utilize the special fermentation process and bacteria developed by famous fermentation researcher Denbei Kawamura. As the specifics of this method are a highly guarded trade secret, we cannot divulge all of our secrets! However, we guarantee all of our products to be safely produced, delicious, and of the highest quality.
Q10: Compared to foreign teas, this tea seems light in color...
A: While some may say it is impossible not to have a milder and lighter tea with this fermentation method, and may have a point, the process of making the tea using both the active (effective) and crude bacteria at the same time is messy, time-consuming, and does not allow for the beautiful color and drinkability of our product. With our temperature controlled, well-maintained system, we produce consistently delicious and beautiful tea.
Matcha has been consumed in Japan since the 7th century and is famous for providing drinkers with a calming sort of energy. Matcha is a specific type of Japanese green tea that differs from other traditional teas in the preparation process and in how the plant is grown.
Matcha tea plants are shaded for a few weeks before the harvest to increase natural levels of caffeine and amino acids. The leaves are allowed to dry, stems and veins are removed from the leaves, and then the tea is ground into a fine powder. The powder can be dissolved in milk or water to produce a slightly sweet, richly flavorful tea.
Below image shows a very brief of how this matcha is made; each step is cared by master tea makers with the highest technology available yet carrying the fundamentals of the old tradition. From the color of the tea to the unforgettable aroma, it is to the highest standard available in the Japanese Market.
