Japanese Green Tea Company regularly hold a booth at Portland Night Market.
What is the Portland Night Market?
The Portland Night Market showcases many unique and diverse businesses that call Portland home. Blending food, culture, music, drinks and retail together for an adventurous evening in the Central East-side. It's a good chance to meet some of Portland's best makers and creators! The Portland Night Market is a free event and is open to all ages.
Japanese Green Tea Company now regularly hold booth at Portland Night Market.
We are very excited to have been selected as one of the lucky vendors to sell our products at the Portland Night Market.
It’s one of my most favorite events and it only happens a few times a year. It is pretty competitive to have a booth, so we were lucky to be selected this time.
Here are some photos and videos from the events from the past.
Similar to what we at World Tea Expo this year, I did a Facebook Live session while setting up to give you some insight into what it feels like to be there when we are setting up for the event. Here are some of the comments I received during the Facebook Live session.
Here are some photos from when we were preparing for the event.
This is how the booth looked before we setup.
I thought it was a lot of fun to show you what it the booth looked like before and after. Here is a picture comparing the booth/market before and during the event.
More pictures of the floor prior to the event.
Here is where we started to setup the booth.
Trust me, it is a lot of work to setup the booth because there are lots of moving parts to fit into a small space, especially since we wanted to make sure that we used the best water for tea and all the right gadgets to be setup to serve.
..and here is how our booth looked after the setup!
and this is me!
Here are pictures we took during the event. You can see that people were lined up to get into the event.
Look at all these people! It really was a fun event and it reminds me of my hometown, Tokyo. : )
Here are people at our booth trying our tea samples.
Before the event, I mentioned that we would be doing something surprising at this event just as we do at every event.
The surprise was that we served Matcha A La Mode, otherwise known as matcha with ice cream!
We showed everyone who passed by how to make Matcha A La Mode, and the people who stopped at our booth got to try our Award-winning Matcha with Häagen-Dazs Ice cream. As you know, our matcha won the Global Tea Championship this year.
Did you miss it? If so, we made a video for how to make this yummy treat. Click on link here or click on the thumbnail below to watch a 1-minute video of how to do it yourself.
Thank you very much for everyone who stopped by our booth. We enjoyed seeing you all and hope to see you soon! : )
Here are some of the other events we participate and the pictures/videos from the past events.

In this article, Golf Expert Jordan from Golf Influence will share how tea can help you with golf.
A hot dog and a sports drink at the turn, and maybe a few beers on the back 9 is the usual golf course diet for many amateur players. But recent studies are indicating that a sensible caffeine source like green tea can help you keep your head in the game and shave strokes off your score.
Green tea is a medicinal drink that contains different compounds that make it more beneficial for both internal and external use than black tea.
Both the green and the black tea have their origins from the same plant species, called Camellia Sinensis; the difference is in the processing methods.
Though it originated from China, green tea found its way to Japan and has become widespread in America and Europe. It is considered the healthiest beverage in the world today.
