Japanese Green Tea Co. Returns to Local Events: SISU/Snow Peak and Holiday Market Highlights

We are Back from Hibernating

It feels like a long time.

Before COVID, we were pretty active in local events, but since COVID started, we halted all local operations and focused on online.

That helped us to expand our reach to customers in the UK, Germany, and Europe. (Click here to see which countries our products are available now)

We finally got France's VAT approved last month. We started applying in 2023 (Yes, I know!), so we will also be pushing the French market very soon.

But something was missing.

It was the real human connection with people.

The smile we see when people try our tea.

A little chat over a cup of tea to meet someone in person.

SISU and Snow Peak invited us (Thank you!)

We were very happy when our friends Kai and Michelle from SISU invited us to their special event with Snow Peak on December 7, 2024, at their La Habra, CA shop

You can see snippets of fun from SISU here:

Tsugu from We Share Records invited us (Thank you!)

And on December 15th, 2024, our good friend Tsugu-san from We Share Records invited us to the Holiday Market at Homage Brewing, Los Angeles., and we were so honored to be part of this!

Tsugu is a DJ who even performed at Dodger's Stadium for a pre-play session when Otani was playing.  (check out the snippet here)

Here is a short video from the event:

And this was the flyer about the event.

Follow us on Dream of Japan Instagram for Updates on Events!

As we woke up from the "online world" into the real physical world, I noticed many people use Instagram for communication and updates.

When I meet new people, I try to hand them my business card, and they ask, "What is your Instagram handle?"

    No business card exchange.

People follow each other on Instagram...

A business card is old school now... ?

I have to be honest: I am quite new to Instagram. My team has been handling them in the past, but I decided to get used to updating on Instagram.

Please follow Dream of Japan Instagram to see updates on events etc!

(Pardon my learning curve, and if the posts or story may not  look great (yet? ... will see)

I hope to see you soon in person!

    With love and gratitude,

    Kei Nishida

This tea set features three exceptional Japanese green teas, each crafted with care and traditional techniques. Issaku Reserve, a Global Tea Champion winner in 2017 and 2019, is a rare masterpiece created by Farm Master Mr. Arahata at Arahataen Green Tea Farm. Handpicked once a year from the first flush and processed with advanced methods, Issaku represents the highest-grade deep-steamed green tea, available only in limited quantities even in Japan.

The set also includes Gyokuro, a premium shaded green tea known for its rich, sweet flavor and deep mossy green color. Grown under special mats for 20 days to increase caffeine and amino acid levels, Gyokuro offers a layered, smooth taste unlike any other. Completing the collection is Nozomi, a fine Kabuse-cha, or "Covered Green Tea," carefully grown under nets to gently shade the leaves just before new sprouts emerge, resulting in a soft, rich, and refined flavor profile.
