How to Make Hojicha Syrup

Hojicha Syrup

Ingredients:

  • 6 tbsp of hojicha loose leaf 
  • 1 cup of water
  • 7 oz of cane sugar (or brown sugar)

Directions:

  • Pour water and cane sugar into a pot
  • Put the pot on high heat and continuously stir it until combined
  • Lower the heat once bubbles start appearing 
  • Add hojicha loose leaf to the pot before it starts to boil
  • Cook it on medium heat for a minute and gently stir it (don’t stir too much)
  • Cover and wait for three minutes
  • Strain it
  • Pour the liquid into a mason jar and cool to room temperature before putting it in a fridge

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of oatmilk
  • 1.5 tbsp of hojicha syrup

Directions:

  1. Pour hojicha syrup into a mug
  2. Froth warm oatmilk and pour it into the mug
